Introducing Pathlogic!

At VisionBridge, we continue to champion emerging and highly innovative assistive tech (ATech) innovation, which we believe will make a measurable and sustainable difference to people’s quality of life; and PathLogic’s digital wayfinding solution UNav from New York University (NYU), is a shining example of this!

UNav is proving to be scaleable, affordable and appropriate in multiple settings; plus it has cracked the age-old blocker to wayfinding deployment i.e high upfront scanning/mapping costs due to the use of LiDAR. The simple GoPro 360 camera and the complex science behind it, has delivered an awesomely compelling solution for all venue owners/operators worldwide at a fraction of traditional upfront and ongoing prices.

What is PathLogic

check out www.pathlogic.io

A unified indoor/outdoor mapping and navigation platform UNav, PathLogic’s proprietary platform, gives precise turn-by-turn wayfinding instructions to everyone moving through a complex space e.g visitors, patients, students, passengers and shoppers, as well as the staff and contractors who work there. It is built for people with sight loss, older and neurodivergent users, and anyone unfamiliar with the building. Proven first in healthcare and specialist education, UNav is now deploying across retail, transport, education, arts, sport and public buildings.

How UNav works:

  • Capture

Rapid 360° scan of the space using a single GoPro camera.

  • Digitize

PathLogic’s servers turn the scan into a digital twin of the floor.

  • Position

Built on 360° camera-based scanning, not LiDAR. Plus there’s no beacon network, no hardware installation, and no ongoing infrastructure to maintain.

  • Speed

After scanning, the space is live in the app within 48 hours.

  • Guide

A user snaps one photo in the app to be located instantly.

Then picks a destination and gets turn-by-turn directions.

What UNav Supports

  • Multi-Floor venues, Indoor & Outdoor
  • Continuous navigation from the building entrance, across floors, and through corridors to retail outlets, reception areas, quiet zones, meeting room, disabled washrooms, office or whatever.
  • Sensory+ Accessibility
  • Combines touch, sound, and visual cues, adaptable to each user’s needs.
  • Any Smartphone
  • iOS and Android, compatible up to five device generations back. No new hardware for users.
  • Private & Secure
  • Auto-anonymized imagery, supporting ADA compliance, routed to private, dedicated servers.

15+ Buildings Scanned

3M+ Sq Ft Mapped

>95% Positioning & Routing Accuracy

50% Improvement in travel time and distance traveled

80% Trip Monitoring Accuracy

Why UNav is so efficient:

  • Faster to deploy, cheaper to scale, built for fast ROI
  • <20 min per floor to scan
  • 48 hrs to go live
  • 10x faster to map
  • PathLogic 360° Patented Camera Approach
  • Capture hardware: Single GoPro camera (< $200)
  • Time per floor: Under 20 minutes (~90% faster)
  • Infrastructure: Zero infrastructure required
  • Mapping cost: ~50% lower per sq ft

$150B+ lost annually to missed appointments in U.S. healthcare

At a large academic medical center, PathLogic can recover $2.75M–$6.9M per year in missed appointments, idle OR time, staff labor, and patient satisfaction (HCAHPS) impact.

An enterprise license usually pays for itself in under three months.

Proof of Concept (POC) & Result Examples

Across over 3 million square feet scanned in the USA and internationally, UNav has delivered accuracy within 1 to 2 feet of 2-D spatial error and 2 to 3° of orientation error across multiple location types
